Development Manager

World Animal Protection is looking for a Development Manager to lead a regional portfolio within our global Development function. The Development Manager will build relationships, partnerships, and philanthropic support that fund our work to end animal cruelty and suffering worldwide. This is a relationship-led growth role. You'll own the income strategy, pipeline, and targets for your region (APAC). You will work to convert high-value prospects into sustainable, long-term supporters. You'll work across the organisation to shape propositions, and you'll manage and work closely with a "Development Lead" as part of a close-knit global team. What you'll do Own and deliver the income strategy, targets and budget for your regional portfolio Build, steward and progress relationships with high-value supporters, funders and partners Manage and report on a live pipeline of development opportunities, taking action where progress stalls Work cross-functionally to turn opportunities into funded, well-supported partnerships Lead and develop a Development Lead, setting clear objectives and supporting their growth Advise senior stakeholders on relationship health, pipeline strength and partnership implications What you'll bring A track record in philanthropy, development, partnerships or new business within a complex organisation Proven ability to build and convert high-value external relationships into long-term support Strong pipeline management and the judgement to focus effort where it counts Experience leading a team or significant work area, with high standards of delivery The confidence to advise senior colleagues on development strategy and priorities Bonus: experience across a global or multi-market organisation, or in charity/mission-led contexts Benefits We are offering a competitive salary and benefits including.
