Comprehensively document deployment processes and cross-train team members to eliminate single points of failure. • Incident Management – Respond to technical incidents and infrastructure issues, perform root-cause analysis, and execute appropriate corrective actions for swift resolution. Required experience & technical skills To succeed in this role you need experience with the following tools (or similar) and a demonstrated ability to learn to use new technologies quickly will be highly favoured: • Linux Servers (Administration, Shell Scripting) • CI/CD Pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) • Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • Cloud Based Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar) • Database management and deployment automation (MySQL/MariaDB/Redis) Key selection criteria • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) • Experience automating deployments for PHP/Laravel/WordPress and Javascript frameworks (React/Vue.js) • Git/GitHub/Gitlab/Bitbucket • AI Tooling / Automation • Observability/APM tools (Prometheus, Grafana etc...) Key Selection Criteria To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate: • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal. • Willingness to work in Melbourne (Australia) hours to align with company head office. • Flexibility to work outside standard hours for planned deployments when needed. • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. • 5+ years' experience in a similar DevOps or Systems Engineering role. • Experience working in remote-based teams. • Extensive experience designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines to replace manual, single-user deployment processes. • Strong understanding of Docker, Linux environments, and Cloud infrastructure scaling. • Initiative to 'roll up your sleeves' and figure things out when necessary. • Ability to problem solve and work independently and as part of the development team.
