This position reports to Regional PX and is part of the Asia PX leadership team (South East Asia, Australia/New Zealand and Korea) ensuring Taiwan's people strategy is aligned to regional level and play an active role aligning with enterprise priorities while bringing forward Taiwan-specific market insight to shape those priorities. The role is also expected to provide regional leadership and represent Taiwan's perspective across critical cross-market projects and initiatives, including talent, succession, and organizational effectiveness programs. Operating Model: This role operates as a market-embedded strategic advisor and orchestrator. Impact is delivered primarily through influence, coalition-building, and mobilizing resources the incumbent does not directly own: above-market PX Centres of Excellence, GBS, regional PX, and cross-functional partners (Finance, Commercial Operations, Legal). Success depends on the incumbent's ability to negotiate competing priorities and move agendas forward across these boundaries without formal authority over the people or budgets involved. Business Context & Workforce Implications: Taiwan has an active and highly prioritized innovative brand portfolio that is transforming in ways of working and go-to-market— including field-force reshaping as legacy brands exit, a fast-ramping specialty/precision-medicine launch building toward a longer-term franchise ambition, and exploration of new growth engines. The incumbent will need to lead workforce and capability shaping proactively in response to these shifts — anticipating redeployment, reskilling, talent management, succession and critical-role pipeline needs. The key focus areas for this role includes: Strategic business partnership & commercial enablement: Act as a full member of the Taiwan Leadership Team, bringing workforce, capability, and organizational design insight into commercial and business planning discussions. Leading transformation with impactful change management principles: Understanding the business priorities and implement programmatic plans to transform ways of working and inspire behavior change. Being able to show progress and impact with metrics. - Be AI-fluent and lead adoption of agentic/AI-enabled ways of working in Taiwan — translating regional AI-enabled operating model and workflow automation initiatives into local practice. Alignment to and with global and regional working principles and plans: Ensure effective partnership and alignment with relevant global & regional PX stakeholders to embrace and bring an enterprise, corporate perspective to the decision making related to market investments and activity. Leverage assets from HQ and other regions for the benefit of the local market. In addition to ensure the entire end to end People Experience can be a synchronized offering leveraging GBS, other COEs and local market People Experience. Workforce & skills agility: Proactively shape the workforce as the brand portfolio shifts — identifying redeployment, reskilling, and critical-role pipeline needs ahead of restructuring, rather than responding to it after the fact. Employee experience as a continuous, data-driven practice: Own a continuous listening and action loop (engagement pulse, sentiment, coaching signals, retention risk indicators) to drive targeted, data-triggered interventions rather than calendar-driven programs, ensuring colleague experience stays aligned to Pfizer's values in a fast-changing market. PX network leadership: Contribute to the leadership, growth, and development of PX talent across the regional network — coaching and mentoring peers and above-market resources despite holding no formal reporting authority over them. Critical Stakeholders: Taiwan Country Manager and Leadership Team – primary strategic partnership, with active participation in leadership team decision-making on organizational, talent, and growth priorities. Partners closely with Global & Regional PX & COEs (Compensation, Global Benefits, Global Mobility, Org Development, Talent teams, CX, GBS – payroll/Operations etc) Other internal stakeholders such as Finance, Commercial Operations etc. External stakeholders (Employment related statutory authorities, Government agencies and other external parties that affects our equity as an Employer, vendors, legal firms). Qualifications & Key Experiences Bachelor’s or higher education will be highly regarded. Employee relations experience essential/ Taiwan preferably. Active listening skills, grounded in strong written and verbal communication ability. Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and management (influencing ability, cultivating credible relationships and empathetic) Experience in change management and driving performance impact with measurable outcomes. Comfort working with people analytics and data (e.g. workforce, engagement, coaching impact, retention risk) to inform, rather than simply report, business decisions. Demonstrated ability to operate through influence rather than formal authority — able to negotiate competing priorities across a Country Manager, above-market COEs, regional PX, and external bodies, and to mobilize resources not directly owned. Commercial/P&L fluency — comfortable connecting workforce decisions to revenue drivers and portfolio performance, and holding a seat in commercial planning conversations, not just people planning ones. Familiarity with AI-enabled/agentic ways of working — able to identify where automation can extend the reach of a lean team, and to translate regional AI-enabled operating model initiatives into local practice. Comfort operating in a lean, matrixed structure— energized by building capability and impact through networks and coalitions rather than by growing a team.
