The House of Commons’ Human Resources Services is currently looking to staff the Director, Talent Management and Engagement position. In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders, Members, employees, parliamentary partners, and subject-matter experts to strengthen organizational capability and shape the future of talent development at the House of Commons. As Director, Talent Management and Engagement, you will provide strategic leadership for learning, leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement services. Drawing on your experience leading complex initiatives and diverse teams, you will drive innovation, modernize services, champion emerging technologies and business-minded service models, and lead the evolution of Talent Management and Engagement services to maximize the value and impact of programs and services. Through strong partnerships, sound judgment, and a clear vision, you will help build an agile, high-performing, and engaged workforce that supports the House Administration's mandate. Work-life balance /35-hour workweek 4 weeks’ vacation (minimum) Education : Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources, Corporate Learning, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Experiences : Extensive experience leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams and diverse service portfolios in organizations serving high-profile clients, with demonstrated results in improving service excellence and operational performance; Extensive experience developing and leading talent management and employee engagement programs; Extensive experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives that advance organizational priorities and deliver measurable results; Experience delivering service excellence through organizational change, including managing impacts on people, processes and service delivery; Experience leading major technology transformation or modernization initiatives, including implementation of significant change to services and operations; Experience providing strategic advice and influencing decision-making at the senior leadership level on complex organizational issues, including assessing risks, opportunities and competing priorities; Experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships and leveraging internal and external expertise to develop and implement innovative, effective solutions. Assets : A recognized professional designation related to human resources, learning, talent management or organizational development (e.g., CHRP, CHRL); Experience in leading the implementation of an organization-wide learning management system; Knowledge of the parliamentary environment, parliamentary administration, and the unique operational realities of supporting Members of Parliament and House Administration employees. Note : An extensive level of experience is generally considered to be between five and ten years of relevant experience.
