Access to world-class learning, leadership development, and industry certifications We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded technology leader with deep GPS experience and a passion for driving complex transformation programs. As a Director, you will work with senior government executives, technology leaders and agency stakeholders to shape technology strategies, lead major transformation initiatives and guide clients through complex organisational and technology change. You will translate policy, agency and service-delivery priorities into practical technology strategies; navigate regulatory, operational and funding constraints; and lead programs that improve public services, operational effectiveness, resilience and organisational capability. Partner with senior government executives, technology leaders, and policy stakeholders to define and execute technology transformation strategies aligned to government, agency and service-delivery priorities. Lead complex transformation programs across areas such as technology operating model redesign, digital transformation, core platform modernisation, AI transformation, and regulatory technology initiatives. Provide strategic advisory and delivery leadership across the transformation lifecycle, including vision development, roadmap creation, governance, implementation, adoption, and operational transition. Guide clients through complex technology and organisational challenges, balancing service delivery outcomes, regulatory obligations, risk management, and technology capability. Lead large-scale programs and delivery teams, ensuring successful outcomes across scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder expectations. Manage program financials including forecasting, commercial management, P&L accountability, and operational efficiency improvements. Develop trusted relationships with government executives, technology leaders, alliance partners, and internal Deloitte teams. Contribute to market development activities including thought leadership, client propositions, industry insights, and pursuit leadership. Drive delivery excellence by coaching teams, improving methodologies, and building capability within Deloitte’s TS&T practice. Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issues through structured governance frameworks and actionable remediation plans. About the team Our Technology Strategy & Transformation (TS&T) Consulting practice is growing, and we are seeking experienced Directors to help shape and deliver technology-led transformation outcomes for our Government & Public Services (GPS) clients in Western Australia. We work with central government and public sector organisations across education, health and human services, security and justice, infrastructure and transport, and state and local government. Enough about us, let's talk about you The ideal candidate will bring a combination of GPS industry expertise, technology transformation leadership, and consulting experience, including: Proven experience leading technology-enabled transformation programs within GPS environments such as education, health and human services, security and justice, infrastructure and transport, and state and local government. Strong understanding of GPS operating models, regulatory environments, risk and compliance requirements, and industry trends. Experience defining and implementing technology operating models, transformation roadmaps, digital strategies, and enterprise technology initiatives. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale programs involving technology modernisation, cloud transformation, data platforms, customer experience, or operational resilience. Demonstrated success originating and converting consulting opportunities, expanding strategic accounts, and contributing to sustainable practice growth. Strong understanding of technology delivery frameworks including agile delivery, SDLC, DevOps, IT service management (ITIL), and enterprise governance. Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including executive leadership, business units, technology teams, risk functions, and external partners. Ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear service delivery outcomes and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing consulting engagements, budgets, delivery teams, and client relationships. Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity and deliver practical solutions in complex environments. Why Deloitte?
