Job description

About Moment Energy Independent energy is here. Help us deploy it. Energy should be free. Free from aging grids, fragile supply chains, and unnecessary extraction. At Moment Energy, we’re building a world where clean power is abundant, affordable, and uninterrupted for everyone. The world doesn’t need another promise about energy; it needs proof that a freer future is possible. Moment Energy is the pragmatic liberator of power, the only company certified to turn the largest untapped energy supply into independent energy. Now is the moment. While the industry scraps millions of batteries with decades of life left, we put them to work by repurposing large-format batteries into advanced battery energy storage systems that deliver real-world impact. We were told second-life batteries would never be safe enough or scalable enough. We didn’t argue, we engineered the solution. Today, Moment Energy delivers 5x the energy density and holds the certifications required to deploy energy independence at scale. Now is the moment. Join us. The Opportunity We’re looking for an Early Careers Recruiter to lead our student hiring program at Moment Energy. This role will manage co-op recruitment each term, build relationships with universities and colleges, and represent Moment Energy at campus events to attract emerging talent across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and other business functions. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day co-op recruitment process while working closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and bring talented students into the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career recruiter who enjoys connecting with people, organizing events, and building relationships. Responsibilities and Duties Co-op Recruitment & Hiring Support the end-to-end co-op recruitment process each term, from gathering hiring needs and posting opportunities to screening candidates and coordinating interviews. Develop and maintain a recruitment calendar aligned with academic terms, application deadlines, and campus recruiting events. Review applications, conduct initial candidate screens, and coordinate interviews to help hiring managers identify the right students. Maintain accurate candidate records, application statuses, and communication in Greenhouse, our applicant tracking system. Keep candidates informed throughout the process and ensure students have a friendly, organized, and professional experience. Coordinate with hiring managers and internal teams to support a smooth transition from accepted offer to onboarding. Campus Recruitment & Employer Branding Be the face of Moment Energy at university and college career fairs, networking events, information sessions, and other campus activities. Build and maintain relationships with co-op offices, career centres, faculty members, student associations, and relevant academic programs. Plan and coordinate campus recruitment activities each term, including event registration, promotional materials, booth preparation, and follow-up with students. Program Coordination & Continuous Improvement Gather feedback from students, hiring managers, and campus partners to improve the program each term. Help maintain consistent recruitment processes, templates, interview scheduling practices, and candidate communications. Support the continued development of a structured, repeatable co-op program as Moment Energy grows. The Candidate We’re looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences: 1+ years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, campus recruiting, university relations, event coordination, or a related role. Experience coordinating multiple activities, deadlines, or projects at once while staying organized and following through. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage students. Comfortable speaking with groups, representing a company at events, and building relationships with people you’ve just met. Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic about helping students find meaningful early-career opportunities. Detail-oriented, particularly when managing candidate information, interview schedules, and recruitment timelines. Comfortable learning recruitment systems and using tools to track candidates, activities, and results. Excited about clean technology, sustainability, and helping students explore careers in a growing cleantech company. Nice-to-Have Experience: Experience in manufacturing environments.
