The Role The Team Leader provides support to the Americas Steel and Ferroalloys Regional Managing Editor to manage the reporting and pricing team within the region, acting as a resource for colleagues, sharing insight and experience to ensure the highest standards are maintained. The Team Leader assists the Regional Managing Editor in overseeing day to day administrative duties, driving the team's performance and helping set the regional PRA strategy. They are deputized in the Regional Managing Editor absence and takes responsibility for the line management of several direct reports, with guidance from the Editorial Director. Principal Accountabilities Assist the Regional Managing Editor to guide the team in covering relevant markets and producing high-quality, market-focused content in line with Fastmarkets’ PRA strategy, sharing experience as a senior team member and acting as a role model in all areas. Manage team performance of several reporters in tandem with the Regional Managing Editor by setting objectives and conducting appraisals in line with Fastmarkets' policy. Work alongside reporters and the Regional Managing Editor to develop plans for new and existing prices and for their adoption, be proactive in looking for opportunities for new pricing. Carry out market engagement with market participants and encourage/support direct reports and other team members in their external engagement. Be a resource for advice and guidance in pricing decisions and news writing, across the team Manage the balance between meeting own pricing duties and overseeing others' pricing and editorial work carefully and strategically. Be proactive in seeking opportunities to co-ordinate cross-functional, cross-department and cross-regional working Play a key role in creating a positive working environment, by exemplifying Fastmarkets’ values in all areas. Produce exemplary price assessments in line with company methodology, price specifications, and IOSCO principles across a range of markets. Guide the onboarding of new colleagues in collaboration with the Regional Managing Editor and colleagues to ensure a positive experience as a new joiner Present at events and webinars, and chair panel discussions when deemed appropriate by Regional Managing Editors on behalf of the company Mentor and coach other reporters to support their development and foster growth in the team. KEY INTERFACES Reports to Regional Managing Editor Manages reporters directly. Work closely with the Editorial Director, Regional Managing Editors and Price Development Team on developing and prioritizing price benchmarks, products and market coverage Actively engage with industry participants to discuss prices and market developments, gather insight, gain feedback and promote our prices Liaise with Editorial Operations to ensure content is produced in line with PRA strategy Work within the team locally and globally to ensure communication and knowledge sharing are priorities, foster a collaborative approach in all areas of activity. Respond to enquiries from market participants while keeping the Regional Managing Editor informed where necessary of any pricing feedback or issues related to our pricing and news coverage When necessary, liaise with other functions within Fastmarkets to help implement the company's PRA strategy. Work with compliance team to answer queries and complete necessary documentation relating to IOSCO regulations

Knowledge of another language is helpful but not required Strong background in pricing and/or journalism with good organizational skills Knowledge of a number of commodities would be helpful, with expertise evident in at least one market Understanding of PRA price adoption and promotion process to secure benchmarks Leadership skills: planning, motivating, assigning work to others, achieving through others, not themselves Some experience in recruiting, training, mentoring and managing price reporters to meet and exceed Fastmarkets’ standards for pricing, content and market coverage Experience in market engagement that will require speaking at conferences, roadshows, one-on-one meetings and webinars Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with a strong vision that is communicated clearly and coherently Ability to prioritize, drive and get results individually and from others while keeping calm under regular deadline pressure without compromising standards Creativity in helping team members develop and deliver If you're excited about the role but your experience, skills or qualifications don't perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway.
