This makes PMI Kyoto an ideal learning environment for anyone wishing to become a complete, well-rounded engineer in the automation industry or those looking to expand their experience level in a more senior-level Electrical Controls Engineering role.Responsibilities: Select components and layout electrical control panelsSelect sensors and pneumatic control componentsUnderstand the UL508A and NEC for control system designWrite, modify, and debug PLCs, HMIs and Kinetix servo motion control programsCreate electrical schematics, bill of material based on, but not limited to, the instructions givenBe proficient in every control aspect from budgeting time, cost control, choosing quality and reliable productRely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobAssist in the development of standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed within the departmentRead and interpret customer specificationsModify and create machine electrical schematicsPossess good logical code writing, debugging and troubleshooting skillsWork closely and collaborate work with Mechanical Engineering members Work closely under management directions but not limited to achieve own decisions in making process more efficient, within budget and on timeCommunicate over phone with customers to assist in troubleshooting installed systemsTravel to customer sites for system installation, modifications, and all aftermarket electrical controls needsTrain and work closely with entry level Electrical Controls EngineersRequirements:More than 5 years of experience in Allen-Bradley PLC’s, HMI’s, AutoCADBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering TechnologyExperienced with electrical/controls aspect of machine design, has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldLiterate using AutoCAD for all electrical design purposesFamiliar with selection and use of commercial products like photo sensors, pneumatics, vision systems, hot melt systems, etc.Proficient in PLC code and motion controlsUnderstanding of—or ability to learn—industrial writing conceptsUnderstanding of machine timing conceptsExperience electrical schematic software (AutoCad light, SolidWorks Electrical is a plus)Exposure to and interest in PLC and HMI programming, multi-axes coordinated motion controlGood electro-mechanical skills and understandingInterest in hands-on machine work with sensor and actuator adjustmentsStrong organizational and communicational skillsBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHealth Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)Life InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Sick Leave401(k) and 401(k) matchingCasual Dress CodeSchedule:Monday to FridayCompany website:www.pmikyoto.comPMI Kyoto Packing Systems has been and will continue to be an equal opportunity employer.
