This position supports the design, and testing activities of the Power Pack Architecture and Core team. Job Activities: Acquire, build, and test prototype parts including electric motors, sensors, controllers, circuit boards and wire harnesses Perform electrical tests involving any combination of electric motors, sensor, controllers, etc. Operate lab equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimeters Circuit schematic capture and updates Assisting engineers with project duties Develop electrical design skills that aid in circuit/schematic analysis Requirements: Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Saginaw Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters Up to 40 in the summer Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters Candidate must have an interest in Electronics and Circuit design. Candidate must have growing knowledge and application of Electrical Engineering principles Candidate must have strong mathematical and analytic ability Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Candidate must have excellent Communication, Documentation Skills and attention to detail Candidate must have an understanding of typical electrical bench equipment (Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Multimeters, Soldering Equipment etc) Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship Nexteer is an Equal Opportunity Employer Disabled/Minorities/Veterans/Women Nexteer is an E-Verify employer.
