Engineering IT Intern, AI Solutions

About our group: The Engineering IT organization is leading IT Transformation by modernizing IT Operations, Engineering Applications, and Enterprise Custom Applications through AI, automation and data analytics. As part of our FY27 initiatives, we are exploring practical solutions to improve operational efficiency, support faster decision-making, and enhance user experience. Project areas include IT operations automation, vulnerability prioritization and remediation workflows, and enterprise business processes. About the role - you will: As an AI Solutions Intern, you will collaborate with experienced team members to explore, prototype, and evaluate AI and automation solutions for real enterprise challenges. You will gain practical experience in requirements gathering, solution development, testing, and collaboration with technical and business teams. With guidance from the team, you will: Analyze selected IT operations or business processes to identify opportunities for improvement Gather and document requirements, workflows, and relevant data sources Contribute to the design of AI-enabled solutions and automation workflows Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts using approved tools and platforms Assist with basic integrations using APIs, databases, and enterprise systems Test and troubleshoot solutions, including evaluating AI outputs for accuracy and usefulness Prepare documentation and demonstrations, gather user feedback, and recommend improvements Measure results against agreed project objectives and document findings and lessons learned About you: Curious, analytical, and interested in solving real business problems Eager to learn and apply AI, automation, and data analytics Comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders Responsible and proactive, with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks and seek guidance when needed Able to communicate clearly and document your work effectively Your experience includes: Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline Basic programming or scripting knowledge gained through coursework, academic projects, or personal projects A basic understanding of software development, data analysis, business processes, or IT operations Location: Our Penang office is located in Suntech at Cybercity, easily accessible via public transportation.
