Role Purpose The EHS Manager leads operational Environmental, Health and Safety delivery across allocated UK operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager – EHS Compliance, the role implements the UK EHS strategy, supports and guides the EHS Regional Leads, leads the occupational health provider, ensures legal and company compliance, and drives continual improvement. Role Responsibilities Role Scope & Dimensions Responsible for operational EHS performance across allocated Central sites, including manufacturing, warehousing, maturation, engineering and visitor centre operations, including an Upper Tier COMAH warehouse complex. Leads the Occupational Health provider relationship and delivery, operational EHS metrics and deputises for the Senior Manager as/when required. Operational Leadership Translate the UK EHS strategy into operational plans across allocated operations , ensuring consistent implementation and performance . Support and provide expertise to EHS Regional Leads. Provide EHS leadership to Central Site (s) Leadership Teams. Develop annual EHS improvement plans. Deputise for the Senior Manager as/when required – EHS Compliance. Lead and ma nage the SCOTS safety rep team, ensuring collaboration and action delivery Roles Responsibilities Governance & Assurance Lead operational engagement with HSE & SEPA representatives , escalating strategic or enforcement matters to the Senior Manager . Implement UK EHS governance requirements and management systems. Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance. Provide operational oversight of audits, inspections and assurance activities , ensuring consistency of approach and effective closure of significant findings Manage significant compliance risks across assigned sites . Regulatory Compliance & Occupational Health Lead compliance with COMAH, DSEAR, COSHH, PUWER and environmental legislation for areas of responsibility . Hold operational responsibility for the Upper Tier COMAH warehouse complex. Manage the Occupational Health provider, programme and senior management relationships. Own operational EHS metrics, KPI reporting and dashboards. Analyse trends and drive continual improvement. Develop safety culture improvements, utilizing tools / techniques available. Build culture that ensure s no unacceptable risk exists & escalation / reporting is inherent . Approve operational EHS procedures and corrective action plans. Qualifications Qualifications & Success : NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; Chartered IOSH desirable. Leadership experience in manufacturing/COMAH environments. Success measured through compliance, audit performance, EHS culture, KPI delivery and leadership effectiveness.
