Estimation and Asset Support Manager

The Opportunity We are seeking an Estimation and Asset Support Manager with direct experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial painting and protective coatings . This is a specialist industrial role and requires someone who understands how blasting and painting work is scoped, estimated, resourced and delivered in the field. Reporting to the Manager, Asset Maintenance and Preservation, you will lead estimating and tendering while supporting the management and allocation of specialised plant and equipment. Familiarity with hot works, fabrication or welding activities would also be highly regarded. What's on offer Opportunity to work with a global leader in environmental solutions Leadership role with direct impact on business growth and operational excellence Collaborative work environment supporting operational teams and stakeholders Diverse role covering estimating, tendering, blasting and painting operations, asset management and project delivery Be part of a team committed to sustainable development and ecological transformation What you'll be responsible for Lead and develop the estimating and asset support team Set performance expectations and support employee development Lead preparation of accurate, competitive estimates and tender submissions Analyse scopes, specifications, drawings and contracts to confirm project requirements Maintain accurate asset registers covering location, condition, availability and compliance Develop asset inspection, servicing and preventative maintenance schedules Lead tender handovers to operations and project teams Monitor actual costs against estimates and investigate variances Maintain organised and version-controlled estimating, tender and asset records Ensure compliance with Veolia requirements, client obligations and legislation What you'll need to be successful Direct estimating and tendering experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, industrial painting and protective coatings Strong practical knowledge of blasting and painting methods, productivity rates, coating systems, materials, access, containment and quality requirements Experience preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions Ability to assess labour, materials, subcontractors, plant, overheads, risks and margins Ability to interpret coating specifications, technical drawings, scopes and contracts Working knowledge of blasting and painting equipment, maintenance, compliance and mobilisation requirements Relevant trade or technical qualification, or substantial industry experience Leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in estimating systems, asset management systems and Microsoft Office Exposure to hot works, fabrication, welding or mechanical repairs is highly regarded Current Australian driver’s licence Why Veolia?
