Whether working with equipment, customers, or travelling between sites, you'll operate in a safety-focused environment where the wellbeing of our people and customers is a top priority. After the initial roll-out phase until October 2027 you will help keep our technology running smoothly by maintaining, repairing, and optimising equipment at customer locations. This is a hands-on role with a mix of planned and reactive work, offering variety, autonomy, and excellent opportunities to learn and develop within a supportive team environment. As the UK prepares for the introduction of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), TOMRA is entering an exciting growth phase. What You'll Be Doing As a Field Engineer, no two days are the same. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll build your technical expertise while playing a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience and ensuring our equipment operates safely and reliably. Install, maintain, and repair TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) at customer sites. Support the installation, commissioning, and roll-out of new machines as TOMRA expands across the UK. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out both preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. Build strong relationships with customers and site contacts, providing professional and friendly service. Travel throughout your region to support customers, with occasional overnight stays when required. Accurately record service activities, machine status, and updates using digital systems and tools. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback, developing your technical knowledge, and maintaining high safety standards at all times. Ways of Working This role involves a rotating schedule (rota-based), with flexibility as the team grows. Occasional shift or weekend work may be required overtime. You'll follow established safety procedures, including TOMRA Safe and LOTO standards. You'll be supported with training, tools, and a collaborative team culture. Why This Role Is Exciting With the UK Deposit Return Scheme launching in October 2027, this is a unique opportunity to join TOMRA during a period of rapid growth and innovation. You'll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading technology, help shape the future of recycling in the UK, and build a rewarding technical career with a company making a positive environmental impact.
