Field Service Officer - Whakatane Field Service Officer - Whakatane Kia haumaru ai tātou katoa - keeping everyone safe. About the Role We’re looking for a motivated Field Service Officer to join our team. This is a varied field-based role where no two days are necessarily the same. You’ll respond to a range of jobs across different contracts, supporting our clients and communities while ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with FIRST Security procedures. Your work could include electronic monitoring, regulatory and compliance services, security patrols, alarm responses, medical alarm installations, ATM servicing and more. Duties: Installing and maintaining electronic monitoring equipment Responding to a range of field service jobs, including alarms, escorts, lock ups and unlocks Carrying out regulatory and compliance duties, including noise control, animal services and bylaw monitoring Patrolling client sites and responding to incidents and callouts Installing and servicing medical alarm equipment Servicing ATM machines as part of our NCR contract Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently Completing all work accurately and in line with relevant procedures, protocols and contract requirements Providing professional and respectful service across a variety of environments Assisting in other areas of the business when required What you’ll need: A ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn Strong communication and listening skills Ability to think quickly and stay calm under pressure Good level of physical fitness Full NZ Driver’s Licence Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check A current COA or the ability to obtain one NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa Why work with FIRST Security: Competitive pay rate of $28.95 per hour once fully trained in EMS Full, ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive team environment with strong leadership Access to the ‘Perks’ program with discounts on retail, fuel, and groceries Ongoing welfare checks and a strong health & safety culture Access to EAP services, including confidential counselling and financial support for you and your family Ready to step into a role where every day is different?
