Job Description Aramark is Hiring General Kitchen Helpers for the Food Service Department at Bishop’s University Position: General Kitchen Helper Location: Bishop’s University (2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1Z7) Salary: Starting at $17.00/hour, to be discussed during the interview Schedule: Various schedules available (days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends), to be discussed during the interview. Start Date: Immediate Job Responsibilities General food preparation Prepare workstations and ingredients for service Assist with meal service Ensure proper food rotation Assist with preparing and organizing orders Clean service areas Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service Ensure portion control and maintain product quality according to Aramark standards Follow food safety, sanitation, health, and operational programs and procedures Participate in the general cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen Follow all established safety regulations and procedures Perform other related duties as required Qualifications Previous food preparation experience is considered an asset Experience in food service or the restaurant industry Strong organizational skills Positive and professional attitude Ability to work with minimal supervision Customer service oriented Bilingualism is considered an asset, as some of our customers are English-speaking BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH ARAMARK: Medical and life insurance Dental insurance Employee referral program Employee recognition program Annual paid sick days Training and development opportunities Career advancement opportunities Uniforms and meals provided The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and, where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check.
