General Ledger Accountant

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in either Jackson, MS or Baton Rouge, LA . This hands-on individual contributor role will own key general ledger and month-end accounting activities, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, cash activity, Accounts Payable accounting review and posting, and other general ledger functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes ownership of assigned accounts and processes, and is comfortable working within an ERP to research transactions, identify discrepancies, and carry issues through resolution. Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision and within a project-based environment is strongly preferred.
