This is a full-time, in-office position only Your Specific Responsibilities: This is a highly professional position within the HIV/AIDS Section, Bureau of Communicable Diseases. This position is responsible for assisting the Supplemental Surveillance Unit Manager with implementing the Medical Monitoring Project (MMP) statewide and serving as the Surveillance of HIV-Related Service Barriers Among Individuals with Early or Late HIV Diagnoses (SHIELD) project coordinator. The position requires excellent customer service, organization, technical writing, and problem-solving skills. This position prefers at least a bachelor’s degree and working knowledge of epidemiological principles. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective communication and critical thinking skills. Writing skills. Ability to provide excellent customer service and pay attention to details. Knowledge of the principals of statistical analysis, knowledge of data management and database creation, data management skills, project management skills, ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, skills in using statistical packages, skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
