Campus Enterprises Mission: Campus Enterprises is NC State University’s division of retail and hospitality organizations — NC State Dining, NC State Stores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the One Card Office. Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value and enrichment of the student experience in support of academic success.Purpose: To assist in the area of grounds keeping of the Lonnie Poole Golf Course Compensation: Starting at Tier 2 at $12.00 per hour. Students with Turf and Golf Course experience may qualify for Tier 3 at $13.00 per hour. In addition, students who are eligible will receive longevity raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises. Location: Lonnie Poole Golf CourseWork Schedule: Flexible shifts that work around your class scheduleFederal Work-Study EligibleEssential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:LandscapingSoddingApplying fertilizer and pesticides on and around the course under the direct supervision of an employee who is licensed in Ornamental & Turf Pest ControlCutting grass on the tee boxes, fairways, roughs, fringes, and greensGolf course upkeep, sprinkler system maintenance, fencing, and tree trimmingEquipment used includes, but is not limited to, walking and riding mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools.Essential QualificationsCurrent NC State University student with a flexible scheduleDetail-oriented and demonstrated experience managing accurate recordsAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft OfficeDemonstrate excellent customer service skillsElevated oral and written communication skillsWillingness and ability to support other functions of Campus Enterprises HRAttend mandatory staff meetings, student employee orientation, and training sessionsLearn, Grow, and Earn More:Gain experience, grow your skills, and get promotedEarn annual raisesConnect with other students beyond the classroomStand out to future employersBuild strong relationships with supervisors who can serve as referencesCampus Enterprises at NC State University Hiring StandardsNC State University is an equal opportunity employer.
