Evo Commerce owns a few CPG brands focusing on high quality supplements. We’re currently operating in 3 markets and our team members are based out of Singapore. We have past experience working in big tech companies which includes Grab, Tiktok, Zalora, FoodPanda, Fave, Shopee, etc.
Our hero product, bback (previously known as Bounceback), is currently one of the fastest growing CPG brands in SEA and is loved by bankers, traders, influencers and bartenders with a high efficacy rate against hangover post drinking. Our aim is to become the Redbull of hangover recovery, making hangover remedies accessible to drinkers worldwide. Then came Stryv, our high quality, salon-grade hair tools and product line with an affordable price tag. We believe there’s no need to break your bank to get the hair you want.
We’re big advocates of direct-to-consumer brands, and believe in the new world (Post-COVID), consumers buy directly from global brands through digital native storefront, bypassing distributors, wholesalers and retailers. This means commerce and information are more efficient, and the implication to the end customer is that product quality goes up and cost of goods are reduced drastically. We are looking for a Marketing Head to lead the Malaysia market, with flexibility for the role to be based in Singapore or Malaysia. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for Malaysia.
You will lead the development of localized, Malaysia-focused campaigns, optimize customer acquisition and retention strategies, and ensure brand consistency while achieving business growth targets. This role requires a data-driven, creative, and strategic leader with a strong understanding of Malaysia’s market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive Malaysia-focused marketing strategy aligned with overall business goals
Lead brand positioning, awareness, and market expansion initiatives within Malaysia
Analyze Malaysia market trends, customer insights, and competitor strategies to identify growth opportunities
Work cross-functionally with product, sales, operations, and finance teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives
Brand & Content Marketing
Develop and oversee localized campaigns tailored to the Malaysia market, including storytelling and content strategies
Ensure all brand communication is consistent, engaging, and culturally relevant to Malaysian audiences
Manage partnerships, sponsorships, and PR initiatives to enhance brand visibility in Malaysia
Performance & Digital Marketing
Work closely with Performance Marketing to optimize Malaysia’s digital marketing strategy (paid media, SEO, SEM, social, and affiliates)
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimize ROI on marketing spend
Leverage data analytics to track customer behavior, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value (LTV)
Growth, CRM & Retention
Implement data-driven customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies for the Malaysia market
Develop loyalty programs, referral incentives, and CRM campaigns to improve retention
Optimize omnichannel marketing efforts (online + offline) for seamless customer journeys
Retail & Offline Marketing
Lead trade marketing, in-store activations, and experiential campaigns for Malaysia’s retail presence
Develop BTL (Below The Line) marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and sales in stores
Budget & Team Management
Manage and allocate the Malaysia marketing budget efficiently to maximize impact
Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, mentoring and developing team members
Work closely with agencies, media partners, and influencers in Malaysia
Key Requirements:
Experience: 6–8+ years in marketing, preferably in DTC, eCommerce, Retail, or FMCG
Market Expertise: Strong understanding of the Malaysia market, consumers, and media landscape
Location Flexibility: Open to candidates based in Malaysia or Singapore, with frequent focus on Malaysia market execution
Leadership: Proven experience managing teams, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies while delivering short-term results
Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills; experience with Google Analytics, Meta Ads, CRM tools
Creativity & Localization: Ability to create campaigns that resonate with Malaysian audiences
Digital Expertise: Hands-on experience in SEO, SEM, paid social, influencer marketing, and growth initiatives
Retail & Offline Marketing: Experience in trade marketing, events, activations, and BTL strategies
Communication: Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and negotiation skills
