Get to Know the Team Procure-to-Pay (PTP) team is responsible for processing and managing outgoing payments for our company, ensuring payments are made promptly. We collaborate with different team to support seamless financial operations and contribute to successful month-end closing activities. Get to Know the Role We are looking for a senior finance operations leader to own Grab's Procure-to-Pay (PTP) function across Southeast Asia and new markets. You will shape how PTP runs and grows, not just keep it running. You will set the multi-year PTP strategy and operating model. You will move the function from processing transactions to managing exceptions through straight-through processing, automation and AI. You will also fix upstream processes and policies so fewer exceptions happen in the first place. Your goal is to scale PTP alongside Grab's growth without adding headcount at the same rate, while keeping strong controls and a simple experience for suppliers and employees. You will report to the management team of Finance Global Process Owner and be base at our Malaysia office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform Set PTP strategy and operating model. Define the multi-year roadmap with the Finance Global Process Owner (GPO) team. Decide what to standardise, automate,, and explain the trade-offs to senior Finance leadership. Drive transformation at scale. Lead the move to straight-through processing and touchless invoice-to-pay using Oracle, Concur, AppZen, TripBiz and AI/agentic tools. Set clear targets (for example STP rate, cost per invoice, first-time-right) and deliver against them. Fix problems upstream. Work with Procurement, Country Finance and business teams to tighten policies, improve how master data and purchase orders come in, and remove the root causes of exceptions. Own controls and compliance. Be accountable for SOX compliance, audit readiness and payment integrity across all PTP processes, so we pay the right supplier the right amount at the right time. Own the employee spend experience. Lead Company Expense Policy (CEP) and T&E operations, including expense claims, corporate cards and travel platforms, and make them simple and compliant for employees. Lead major change programmes. Be PTP's executive owner for ERP changes, M&A integrations and new market launches, from design through to stable operations after go-live. Manage strategic vendor ecosystems. Hold technology and enterprise partners accountable for performance through clear governance, SLAs, and commercial levers, ensuring seamless integration with internal operations. Build the leadership bench. Lead a multi-site team through independent managers. Plan succession, build skills in automation and analytics, and keep the team engaged through change. Report on performance and risk. Give leadership clear reporting on PTP KPIs and risks, with mitigation plans and early warning on emerging issues.
What Essential Skills You Will Need Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from a recognised university 15+ years in finance operations, with at least 8 years leading PTP/AP or wider shared services functions in a regional or global environment, including managing managers Experience leading multi-country, multi-site PTP operations. A proven record of leading large transformations (ERP migrations, M&A integrations, automation programmes) that delivered measurable results without disrupting operations or controls A strong record of using AI and automation to redesign processes, with measurable gains in productivity, quality or cost, not just pilots Deep knowledge of SOX, internal controls design and audit readiness in finance operations Strong working knowledge of Oracle Fusion (or an equivalent ERP), Concur and T&E platforms Working knowledge of Southeast Asia tax rules and e-invoicing requirements Set priorities and make trade-offs using data, and to explain decisions clearly to both senior leadership and frontline teams Senior stakeholder management: able to rationalize with Procurement, Treasury, Tax, Country Finance and Internal Audit without direct authority Communicate well in English Good to Have: Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, MICPA or equivalent) Familiarity with Taiwan, including its e-invoicing (GUI) environment Proficiency in Mandarin or another regional language would be advantageous Experience in a high-growth tech or platform business with complex, high-volume transactions
