For more information, please visit Ingenyx.com Position Summary The Director, Business Applications & Business Partnership is a senior IT leader reporting directly to the CIO and serving as a key member of the IT leadership team. This position leads Ingenyx’s global business applications function and translates business priorities into reliable, scalable technology capabilities that advance manufacturing performance, operational excellence, and profitable growth. The Director leads a team of five professionals—two Business Applications Engineers and three IT Business Partners—and serves as the CIO’s principal partner for the business applications portfolio, cross-functional planning, and execution. The role combines strong technical fluency, especially in IFS ERP, with executive-level communication, relationship management, organizational leadership, and accountability for measurable business outcomes. This is a high-visibility leadership position intended to develop enterprise-level capabilities. Principal Responsibilities Enterprise Leadership & CIO Partnership • Act as a trusted adviser and strategic extension of the CIO, helping shape IT priorities, operating plans, leadership decisions, executive presentations, and cross-functional initiatives. • Lead effectively upward, laterally, and through the organization: communicate risks, trade-offs, options, investment needs, and progress in a concise, decision-oriented manner. • Build credibility and sustained partnerships with leaders in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Human Resources, and other functions across all Ingenyx locations. Team Leadership, Development & Execution • Build an integrated operating model in which IT Business Partners understand demand and business outcomes while Applications Engineers deliver secure, supportable technical solutions. • Plan capacity, allocate resources, maintain service discipline, and develop talent depth and succession readiness within the function. • Establish a collaborative, accountable, service-oriented culture with strong communication, continuous learning, and continuous improvement. Application Strategy, IFS ERP & Technical Stewardship • Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, support model, and service performance for IFS ERP and associated business applications, including HRIS, expense management, commercial and reporting tools, and their integrations. • Apply strong functional and technical knowledge of IFS ERP—its core business processes, configuration, integrations, security, release management, and support requirements. • Partner with the IFS implementation system integrator and other vendors to support implementation, stabilization, optimization, and ongoing enhancement across global manufacturing operations. • Ensure applications, interfaces, and data flows remain reliable, scalable, controlled, and aligned with business process needs and applicable quality/regulatory requirements. Demand Management, Prioritization & Business Value • Create and govern a transparent intake and prioritization process for application enhancements, defects, projects, and business process improvements. • Create compelling business cases and communicate the value proposition of technology investments in operational, financial, risk-reduction, and user-experience terms. • Maintain an integrated applications roadmap and investment recommendations that balance strategic transformation, daily operations, resource capacity, and enterprise priorities. • Track realized outcomes after implementation and communicate delivery performance, adoption, and benefits to business executives and the CIO. Principal Responsibilities Continued Delivery Methods, Governance & Operational Excellence • Ensure disciplined change control, configuration management, user acceptance testing, regression testing, release verification, and production readiness for vendor updates and internal changes. • Oversee application access administration in accordance with access policies, security controls, segregation-of-duties requirements, and established approval procedures. • Ensure responsive incident, problem, and request management, including timely escalation to vendors, root-cause resolution, end-user guidance, and knowledge documentation. • Promote process standardization and improvement across key workflows such as order-to-cash and procure-to-pay; establish meaningful metrics for availability, support, delivery, and business satisfaction. Vendor, Financial & Stakeholder Management • Own application vendor and service-partner relationships. • Contribute to application budgets, forecasts, contracts, resource planning, and investment decisions in partnership with the CIO. • Communicate proactively with stakeholders through business reviews, roadmap discussions, change communications, and executive-ready status and risk reporting. • Support business growth, acquisitions, site expansion, and transformation initiatives through application readiness, integration planning, and effective organizational change management. Education / Experience Requirements • Demonstrated leadership of enterprise business applications teams, including direct people management, mentoring, prioritization, and accountability for outcomes. • Substantial experience with ERP platforms and related applications; strong working knowledge of IFS ERP or directly relevant hands-on IFS implementation/support experience is strongly preferred. • Experience supporting manufacturing business processes in a multi-site organization; medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred. • Working knowledge of software development and project delivery methodologies, and disciplined change management. • Proven ability to build business cases, rank competing investments, communicate value and trade-offs, and engage credibly with senior executives and functional leaders. • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills; strong ownership and sound judgment. Specialized Skills / Other Requirements • Experience with IFS Cloud or relevant IFS ERP modules in manufacturing and supply chain operations, preferred. • Knowledge of HRIS, expense management, commercial platforms, Power Automate, Excel, SQL, and enterprise data/integration concepts, preferred. • Exposure to quality systems, validation, audit readiness, and regulated/GxP IT processes, preferred. • Experience supporting international locations and working across cultures, time zones, preferred. Leadership Attributes Enterprise mindset; business-first decision-making; executive presence; ability to influence without authority; constructive challenge; sound prioritization; accountability; relationship-building; adaptability; resilience; intellectual curiosity; commitment to growing other leaders. #LI-AD1 The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $175,800- $225,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
