As a Summer 2027 Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a professional business environment while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience within our dynamic team. Throughout the internship, you will work on real business initiatives, collaborate with team members and leaders, develop professional skills, and contribute to projects that support Cencora's purpose of creating healthier futures. Start Date: June 7, 2027 End Date: August 13, 2027 Location: Remote, PA This internship is designed to provide a hands-on research and educational experience in a HEOR consulting environment. As an intern, you will contribute to retrospective and prospective RWE projects across a variety of disease areas while interacting with pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Responsibilities: Research topics may include one or more of the following: Costs and resource utilization analyses Treatment pattern assessments Effectiveness assessments Reimbursement policy analyses On a day-to-day basis, you may participate in one or more of the following areas: Research design Large database management and analysis, primarily using SAS Development of research proposals Identifying and finalizing appropriate ICD, HCPCS, and CPT codes for research engagements Development of study reports and/or conference submissions for dissemination of research findings Addressing logistics and implementation issues associated with research studies Supporting health outcomes strategy Education and Experience Graduate student currently working toward a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent degree in HEOR or a related discipline Experience in SAS programming is required Knowledge of SQL is preferred Demonstrated record of scientific publication preferred, but not required Rising sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the internship preferred Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future. Skills and Knowledge Understanding of analytical concepts and research methods related to HEOR Ability to communicate complex research concepts effectively in both written and verbal form Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, volunteer, or work experiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective organizational and time-management skills. Ability to receive feedback and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
