Job Title: Inventory Control                                   Job Location: Sanger, CAPosition Type/Hours: Seasonal (approx. 6 months/year)Reports To: Plant Manager                                                        Job DutiesTrack incoming and outgoing inventory (raw materials and finished goods)Maintain accurate inventory records (manual logs or digital systems)Perform cycle counts and full inventory auditsInspect goods for damage, quality, food safety concerns or discrepanciesLabel, tag, and organize stock in storage areasCoordinate with packing and shipping departmentsReport shortages, overages, or inconsistenciesFollow safety and sanitation procedures (especially in food packing plants) Key SkillsAttention to detail – accurate counting, labeling, and recordkeepingBasic math skills – counting stock, tracking quantities, reconciling discrepanciesComputer literacy – familiarity with inventory software (e.g., Excel or warehouse systems)Organization – managing stock efficiently and keeping records updatedCommunication – coordinating with packing staff, supervisors, and shipping teams Basic Requirements:Education:High school diploma or similarExperience:0–2 years in inventory, warehouse, or packing environmentsExperience with shipping/receiving is often a plus Technical / Equipment KnowledgeUse of:Barcode scannersInventory management systemsForklifts or pallet jacks (certification may be required)Understanding of FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory method Compliance & SafetyKnowledge of workplace safety standards In food plants: adherence to sanitation and hygiene rules (like HACCP principles) Preferred Qualifications (Not Always Required)Forklift certificationPrior work in a packing or production facility Pay Range ($17.00 min - $17.25 max)/hour This position may encompass other duties than the specified duties listed above.  If necessary, alternative duties can be assigned at the discretion of the direct supervisor.
