IT Assistant - Undergraduate Placement - Burton on Trent, UK

Reporting to the UK IT Manager, a 1-year placement is available within the IT Department in Burton, working within a small professional team. About the Role: As an IT Assistant, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting day-to-day IT operations, including: Provide 2nd line support in a complex manufacturing environment Provide day to day support to local and remote users Assisting with hardware and software setup and maintenance Support the team with network and infrastructure tasks About You: Required: Working towards a degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn A good communicator who is not afraid to interact with users at all levels Good knowledge of computer and printer hardware The ability to manage your own workload Desirable but not essential: Experience with configuring and administering Windows 10 and 11 Knowledge of server hardware and operating systems Knowledge of computer networks and related technologies Please note: This placement is not a software development or cyber security role.
