Junior Analyst - Mutual Fund Fee & Expense (Open to Fresh Graduates)

Responsibilities Utilize the SEC Edgar and other regional regulatory websites, mutual fund company websites, and the Internet to gather financial regulatory documents Collect financial regulatory documents of open-end, closed-end, and variable annuity mutual funds and ETFs for a document library and further analysis Read through the collected financial regulatory documents to capture key industry data from and put it into a proprietary system. Verify calculations done by a proprietary system before it is released to client-facing applications and used for research reports. Conduct data quality assurance: identifying and analyzing data quality issues Work collaboratively with team members both in the Philippines and in the U.S. to deliver mutual fund and ETF data to clients on timely basis Actively cross-train and expand opportunities to work on various related research responsibilities Read and understand mutual fund investment strategies and objectives to properly tag them for client-facing applications Determine relevant and interesting industry changes and summarize findings in a weekly newsletter Create and update documentation of work processes and maintain institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database Support relevant process improvements, as well as technology projects, by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables Special projects as assigned Keep up to date on financial industry news and market trends Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Business, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience Strong mathematical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated troubleshooting, follow-through, and critical thinking skills Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment (can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural team) Experience working with any of the following would be a plus: With at least a year of relative work experience gathering and analyzing financial data. Proficiency in using MS Excel for financial data manipulation and preparation.
