Purpose of the Job The Land Freight Operations Executive is responsible for the execution of daily land freight transportation operations, ensuring efficient movement of shipments across the network. The role focuses on coordinating transport activities, optimizing shipment consolidations, monitoring operational performance, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting billing processes. The incumbent ensures operational excellence, service quality, cost efficiency, and timely issue resolution while collaborating closely with planning, warehouse, and transportation partners. Job Description Manage the day-to-day movement of import and export shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers. Coordinate operations from collection through to customs clearance and final delivery. Ensure shipments are routed, loaded, and moved according to operational plans. Optimize load planning to maximize transportation capacity utilization and efficiency. Coordinate dispatching trucks, trailers, containers, and shipments. Liaise with customers, agents, hauliers, customs authorities, and partner depots to ensure smooth movement of freight. Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates, delays, and service issues to customers. Manage customs clearance activities and support customers with customs-related queries. Issue quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed bookings. Verify that all shipment and transport movements are properly recorded and updated. Support accurate cost allocation across routes, shipments, and customers. Contribute to achieving operational KPIs, including: On-time departures and arrivals. Load optimization and consolidation efficiency. Operational and documentation accuracy. Timely issue resolution and recovery. Work collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Customs, Transport, Warehousing, and International Offices. Carry out additional operational and administrative duties as required. Job Requirements - Experience and Education Previous experience within Road Freight Operations. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Relevant professional certifications in logistics or transportation will be an advantage 1–4 years of experience in logistics operations, transportation management, dispatching, or supply chain execution. Experience working in a fast-paced logistics, freight forwarding, courier, or transportation environment is preferred. Skills Strong organizational and time-management skills.
