YOUR IMPACT Shaping how millions experience NordVPN and Nord Security ecosystem while raising the craft and judgment of the designers around you. You'll hold the bar for visual quality across NordVPN’s website assets, mobile marketing, in-app surfaces, and video content, while providing quality assurance and strategic concept-thinking for the Nord Security umbrella brand. Ultimately, you'll build the conditions and mentorship frameworks for your design squad to do their best work. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Lead Graphic Designer to set the creative bar for the NordVPN Product Squad while playing a key supporting role for our umbrella brand, Nord Security. This role is 70% hands-on craft and 30% leadership—you'll be deeply involved in execution while coaching, mentoring, and raising the ability of the team around you. You'll be accountable for whether the squad’s creative output meets the bar, whether marketing trusts our design partnership, and whether our visual strategies drive growth. While your primary focus will be driving dynamic website experiences, mobile marketing campaigns, and video assets for NordVPN, you will also extend your expertise to the Nord Security brand, ensuring top-tier quality assurance, conceptual depth, and mentorship across both scopes. You'll masterfully hold both lines that define graphic design here: brand integrity and performance impact. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Set the visual quality and creative bar across web surfaces, mobile marketing, in-app assets, and video content for our flagship product. - Guide designers through coaching, critique, and setting clear benchmarks for what "good" looks like across digital and motion touchpoints. - Take ultimate responsibility for the creative quality of your squad's output, shifting the culture from pure execution to strategic, high-craft design. - Collaborate with the Brand Design Lead to ensure NordVPN’s digital and mobile assets remain aligned with global brand consistency questions. - Turn marketing objectives into compelling visual narratives for web layouts, app stores, and video formats that respect brand guidelines while capturing attention. - Build the production conditions (file systems, Figma tooling, handoff patterns for web and mobile developers) that let your team launch creative assets at quality and speed. - Dive into high-stakes work, including key website landing pages, core mobile asset frameworks, and defining video asset pipelines that become references for the team. - Integrate generative AI tools ethically into the squad's daily craft to accelerate asset creation and iteration for various digital platforms. CORE REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years of experience in marketing design, branding, or creative agencies - Experience leading or mentoring designers, formally or informally - Strong visual design and art direction skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates both: refined craft and conceptual depth - Ability to navigate the tension between brand consistency and performance outcomes, knowing how to design for user engagement without breaking the brand system. - Working fluency with generative AI tools as part of your daily craft, with judgment about when AI is the right answer and when it isn't - Strong understanding of brand systems and multi-channel design - Excellent written and verbal English skills WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT - Experience working with photography, photo editing, or compositing - Illustration skills or experience guiding illustration styles - Experience designing AI-assisted creative workflows for a team - Understanding of 3D visuals or collaboration with 3D designers - Experience working with large-scale or global brands - Knowledge of the digital product environment TOOLS YOU'LL USE - Figma - Generative AI tools - Full Adobe Suite WHAT WE OFFER Innovate with industry leaders Work alongside global experts to build world-leading cybersecurity tools, impacting millions of users around the world.
