Logistics Operative (FLT driver) Location: Featherstone, West Yorkshire Working Hours: Average 42 hours per week Shift Pattern: Rotating days, nights and weekends as part of a continuous shift pattern About the Role We are looking for a Logistics Operative to join our Logistics Team. Reporting to the Logistics Operational Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and manufacturing operation. The role involves operating FLT equipment, loading and unloading vehicles, managing stock movements, and supporting inventory control activities. Full training will be provided on our Warehouse Management System (WMS). Key Responsibilities Operate FLT equipment safely and efficiently. Move finished goods and materials across the site. Load and unload vehicles. Operate pallet wrapping and pallet exchange equipment. Carry out stock cycle counts and inventory checks. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S workplace organisation. Follow health, safety, quality and hygiene requirements. Challenge unsafe practices and behaviours. Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for stock movements (training provided). Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities. Undertake other duties as required. Skills & Experience Essential GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English. FLT Counterbalance Licence. Experience within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment. Understanding of health, safety, quality and hygiene standards. Knowledge of warehouse processes and stock control. Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern including days, nights and weekends. Desirable Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Knowledge of 5S workplace organisation. Problem-solving and continuous improvement experience.
