Planungs KG is a renowned leader in the automotive industry, dedicated to innovation and excellence in vehicle testing and validation processes. With a strong foundation rooted in Munich, our company has expanded its reach internationally, fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment. We specialize in developing and maintaining large-scale application clusters that support critical automotive functions, leveraging cutting-edge technology to optimize vehicle development cycles. Our commitment to continuous improvement and technological advancement positions us at the forefront of automotive engineering and data analysis. About The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Machine Learning (ML) Intern to join our expanding DevOps team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our vehicle log data analysis capabilities through the development and deployment of machine learning models. You will work on designing, training, and evaluating ML models that automatically identify error patterns, root causes, and component relationships within vast datasets generated during vehicle testing. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of our systems and the automation of data analysis processes. Collaborating closely with developers and data engineers, you will ensure seamless integration of ML components into our existing data pipelines and application infrastructure. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in deploying ML solutions in real-world automotive contexts, while contributing to innovative projects that shape the future of vehicle testing and validation. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in Python programming, particularly in data analysis and machine learning. A minimum of three years of practical experience working on ML projects is essential, along with a proven track record of deploying ML models or pipelines into production environments. Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and natural language processing (NLP) methods is highly desirable. Fluency in English is required, and basic German language skills are preferred to facilitate team communication. Additionally, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, or similar, will be considered an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Responsibilities Your core responsibilities will include designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models tailored to analyze vehicle log data. You will develop and optimize data pipelines to facilitate efficient data flow and integration with existing systems. Collaborating with software developers, data engineers, and stakeholders, you will ensure that ML components are seamlessly embedded into our infrastructure. You will also be responsible for exploring and implementing new approaches to improve model accuracy, robustness, and reliability. Documenting your work thoroughly and sharing insights with team members will be vital to fostering a knowledge-sharing culture. Additionally, you will stay updated on emerging ML techniques and tools, applying innovative solutions to enhance our data analysis capabilities.
