The Management Assistant Trainee Manager Program is an entry-level 2-year development program designed to identify and develop high-potential individuals into future Shop Managers. As a Management Assistant Trainee Manager, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of retail operations, from customer service and sales to inventory management, visual merchandising, people development and store operations. Through structured on-the-job training, coaching and progressive responsibilities, you will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and leadership capabilities to manage a retail outlet effectively. Career Progression Your development will follow a structured career pathway, with progression based on performance, competencies and readiness: Customer Service Executive ->Senior Customer Service Executive -> Supervisor -> Training Assistant Shop Manager-> Assistant Shop Manager -> Training Shop Manager -> Shop Manager Phase 1: Retail Exposure & Operations Development During the initial phase, you will perform the roles of a sales professional and Shop Manager, progressively developing the knowledge and practical skills in the following areas: Shop tour and understanding of trading areas Selling floor management and product display standards Colour coordination and visual merchandising Stock room operations and inventory management Product and pricing knowledge Promotions and sales processes Customer service standards Sales targets and achievement People management and team development Store documentation, SOPs, and procedures Phase 2: Leadership & Management Development As you demonstrate operational competency and readiness, you will progressively take on greater leadership responsibilities and support the day-to-day management of a retail outlet. You will gain hands-on experience in: Leading and coaching of the retail team Managing store operations, setting and monitoring sales targets Driving sales performance and achieving business targets Maintaining customer service standards Handling customer feedback and recovery Managing inventory and stock levels Organising and maintaining the stock room Managing visual merchandising and store presentation Staff scheduling and duty roster planning Staff performance appraisal and development Setting individual and team sales targets Preparing and presenting quarterly business updates to the Operations Team and Management Job Requirements Degree/Diploma Holders Able to work retail hours and on weekends and Public Holidays Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
