Job description

Help shape the future of Finance through AI. As an AI Transformation Engineer for Finance, you’ll partner with Enterprise Accounting, Finance Technology, Analytics, and business stakeholders to design, pilot, and scale AI-enabled solutions that modernize controllership workflows. You’ll identify high-value opportunities to combine artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and workflow redesign to reduce manual effort, accelerate cycle times, strengthen controls, and improve the finance user experience. Working across accounting, reporting, tax, audit, and internal controls, you’ll translate business needs into clear requirements, solution designs, use cases, testing criteria, and adoption plans. You’ll also help put responsible AI into practice, ensuring solutions are practical, well-controlled, auditable, and aligned with enterprise policies, data standards, risk expectations, and human-review requirements. Ready to turn complex finance challenges into meaningful AI-powered improvements? Apply today. Lead AI-enabled finance transformation initiatives by identifying, assessing, and prioritizing high-value opportunities to apply artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and workflow redesign across Enterprise Accounting and related Finance functions. Partner with accounting, reporting, tax, audit, Finance Technology, Analytics, and business stakeholders to understand current-state workflows, pain points, control requirements, data dependencies, and desired business outcomes. Translate finance needs into clear AI and automation use cases, business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, data requirements, control considerations, and implementation roadmaps. Design future-state finance workflows that integrate AI-enabled support for activities such as journal entry preparation, reconciliations, variance analysis, close task management, document review, policy research, exception routing, and reporting support. Manage and own the full lifecycle of AI models and solutions from development through deployment. Develop, coordinate, and support prototypes, pilots, and proof-of-concept solutions using approved enterprise AI, automation, analytics, workflow, and data tools. Evaluate AI-enabled outputs for accuracy, completeness, usability, control alignment, and appropriate human review, ensuring solutions support finance judgment rather than replacing required accounting review and approval. Embed responsible AI, risk, compliance, information security, privacy, auditability, and internal control expectations into solution design, documentation, testing, monitoring, and sustainment activities. Collaborate with technical teams to support data mapping, workflow configuration, prompt or instruction design, solution testing, defect resolution, user acceptance testing, release readiness, and post-implementation stabilization. Define and track measurable business value, including reduced manual effort, improved close cycle time, increased standardization, enhanced control consistency, improved audit readiness, error reduction, and user adoption. Lead cross-functional working sessions to clarify scope, align stakeholders, prioritize requirements, resolve issues, manage dependencies, and guide decision-making from concept through implementation. Prepare and maintain process documentation, control narratives, solution documentation, standard operating procedures, testing evidence, training materials, and implementation communications. Support change management and adoption by equipping Finance users with clear guidance, training, feedback channels, operating procedures, and post-launch support for AI-enabled workflows. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Five or more years of progressive experience in finance transformation, financial systems, business analysis, or a related area. Experience documenting processes, gathering requirements, analyzing workflows, and partnering with technical teams to implement solutions. Practical understanding of AI, automation, or workflow improvement concepts and how they can be applied to business processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, define success measures, and quantify business value. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, IT, Audit, Risk, Operations, and other business areas. Familiarity with responsible AI governance practices, including risk assessment, documentation, testing, monitoring, and approvals. Experience working with internal controls, audit, risk, or compliance teams to design controlled processes and related evidence requirements. Experience working in agile or product delivery environments, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user acceptance testing, and release management. Experience with Oracle Fusion or related close orchestration, consolidation, or reporting solutions. Lean/Six Sigma, process improvement, finance transformation, workflow automation, or RPA experience. Experience in health insurance, financial services, or another regulated financial reporting environment. Experience with financial ERP systems and close, consolidation, workflow, or reporting tools. CPA and/or MBA. Ability to apply accounting and finance knowledge to redesign workflows without compromising control intent, compliance requirements, or financial statement integrity. Ability to identify where AI and automation can improve efficiency, such as drafting, classification, summarization, triage, reconciliation support, and workflow routing. Ability to develop new ideas, solutions, and structures. Ability to promote technological advances and change adoption in a collaborative environment. Ability to recognize when formal accounting conclusions require human judgment, documented rationale, review, and approval. Strong documentation skills, including process maps, narratives, requirements, test scripts, standard operating procedures, training materials, and control documentation. Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead cross-functional workshops, guide decision-making, and build alignment across competing priorities. Comfort working with financial data, including definitions, reconciliations, reasonableness checks, data quality considerations, and reporting requirements. Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve ambiguity, and drive work from concept through implementation and sustainment. Strong ownership mindset with the ability to deliver results through collaboration, influence, and follow-through. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, among other grounds, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, protected veteran status or status as an individual with a disability. Candidates are hired on an "at will" basis. Nothing herein is intended to create a contract.
