Manager, Business & Corporate Banking (Growth Sector - Real Estate Specialist)

If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us… Overview: Our leading financial institution is seeking a Commercial & Industrial Real Estate Specialist to drive the development and growth of our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan portfolio within the Business & Corporate Banking (BCB) Division. In this role, you will act as a key subject matter expert, assisting regional teams in acquiring new clients/projects and structuring tailored financing solutions, security types, and risk mitigation strategies specifically for CRE. The candidate will provide extensive technical expertise on the CRE sector for both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. sales force, credit approving authority, sustainability committee, bank customers, bank property team, and other relevant parties). Location & Background Flexibility: We are fully open to candidates based anywhere who are willing to travel for site visits and client meetings. Additionally, industry professionals from non-banking backgrounds (such as property development, real estate consultancy, or valuation) are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: Deal Structuring & Analysis: Articulate complex real estate concepts to comprehend client financing needs, delivering highly effective, tailored financial solutions. Risk Advisory: Review and support Relationship Managers (RMs) in cash flow analysis and repayment risk assessments by identifying unique project risks inherent to the CRE industry. Client & Site Engagement: Support regional sales teams in high-level client meetings and field visits to ascertain project feasibility. Conduct ongoing site visits and attend progress meetings to ensure projects remain on track for successful delivery. Stakeholder Consultation: Consult with corporate clients and internal stakeholders in strict alignment with the institution's established credit risk appetite and frameworks. Sustainability & ESG: Implement sustainable and environmentally responsible practices within the CRE strategy. Partner closely with internal ESG and Sustainability teams to align portfolio growth with the organization’s green values. Skills & Experience We Are Looking For: Malaysia citizen. Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management or any equivalent. 8 years and above of professional experience in the Real Estate industry, either within commercial real estate analysis/financing, or directly within property development, valuation, or real estate consultancy. Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting corporate real estate transactions is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language.
