THE OPPORTUNITY At Netwealth, onboarding is where adviser and client confidence begins. It's a pivotal moment in their journey, bringing together great service, compliance and operational excellence to create a seamless experience from day one. We're looking for a people-focused leader to lead and evolve our Client Onboarding function. This is an opportunity for someone who loves developing people, improving how work gets done and bringing teams together to deliver exceptional outcomes. You'll play a key role in shaping a scalable, high-performing onboarding team that balances regulatory rigour with an experience that's seamless, efficient and genuinely valued by advisers and clients. ABOUT YOU You're a genuine leader who gets energy from helping people succeed and creating clarity in fast-paced environments. You build trust quickly, communicate with influence and know how to strike the right balance between performance, support and accountability. You're naturally curious, commercially minded and always looking for ways to improve processes, elevate service and build capability within your team. Your strengths include: - People Leadership – coaching, developing and empowering high-performing teams. - Business Partnership – building trusted relationships and influencing outcomes across the business. - Operational Improvement – simplifying processes, removing friction and driving continuous improvement. ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Head of Onboarding, you'll lead the Client Onboarding team and be responsible for team performance, service quality, operational effectiveness and capability development. Working closely with teams across Sales, Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Customer Operations, you'll help create a seamless onboarding experience while supporting the ongoing growth and evolution of the function. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead, coach and develop a high-performing onboarding team. - Drive service quality, consistency and operational excellence. - Strengthen workflows, processes and ways of working. - Balance compliance requirements with an efficient adviser and client experience. - Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business. - Use data and insights to identify opportunities and drive improvement. - Support capability uplift, cross-skilling and continuous learning. - Contribute to automation, digitisation and service improvement initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL BRING - Proven leadership experience in financial services, operations, client service or another regulated environment. - Strong coaching and people development capability. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. - Experience improving operational processes, service delivery or team performance. - Strong judgement, problem-solving skills and a practical approach to risk and customer outcomes. - A growth mindset, natural curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement. NICE TO HAVE Experience in wealth management, platform operations, superannuation, banking, fintech, client onboarding, AML/KYC, workflow redesign, automation or operational transformation will help you get up to speed, but isn't essential.
