The Manager, Supply Depot Operations manages ammunition receipt, storage, issue, accountability, inventory control, space utilization, traffic, and commercial transportation activities for Supply Depot Operations at Hawthorne Army Depot. This job directs assigned supervisors and employees, aligns division goals with contract requirements and applicable Department of Defense, federal, state, Company, safety, environmental, and security requirements, and supports safe, compliant, and efficient movement and accountability of ammunition stocks. Position may require security clearance, consistent with contract requirements and government approval. U.S. or Naturalized citizenship is required. This position is located on site in Hawthorne, NV. As the Manager, Supply Depot Operations , here’s the work you’ll do: Lead Supply Depot Operations planning with the Director, Ammunition Logistics and Demil Operations to establish division goals, priorities, and operating policies. Ensure ammunition receipt, storage, issue, accountability, transportation, and munitions-handling processes support contractual obligations and applicable regulatory requirements Manage inventory control, space allocation, stock control, accountability, receipt, storage, and issue activities for wholesale ammunition stocks at Hawthorne Army Depot. Ensure inventory and storage practices support mission readiness, accurate accountability, and safe utilization of depot space Direct traffic management and commercial transportation activities for ammunition and related materials. Coordinate shipment priorities, movement requirements, and transportation compliance to support timely and controlled movement of ammunition stocks. Manage resources assigned to Supply Depot Operations, including staffing, work priorities, budget awareness, equipment, and operational support needed to execute mission and contract requirements. Assume delegated duties of the Director or Deputy Director when assigned Supervise and guide assigned Supply Depot Operations supervisors and employees, including work direction, mentoring, performance input, staffing recommendations, and reinforcement of safety, ethics, diversity, and Company policy expectations. Maintain employee understanding of operational priorities, security requirements, and required procedures. Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, security, contractual, Department of Defense, state, federal, and Company requirements for ammunition receipt, storage, accountability, shipment, and depot operations. Identify and escalate issues, support corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement in logistics performance.. This role is for you if you have these skills: Ammunition logistics and depot operations knowledge sufficient to manage receipt, storage, issue, accountability, inventory control, space utilization, and movement of ammunition stocks. Regulatory and compliance knowledge related to Department of Defense requirements, federal and state regulations, munitions handling, storage, transportation, safety, environmental, and security requirements. Inventory accountability and stock-control capability sufficient to maintain accurate records, resolve discrepancies, and support audit-ready ammunition accountability processes. Traffic management and commercial transportation coordination capability sufficient to support safe, compliant, and timely shipment and movement of ammunition and related materials. People leadership and resource management capability sufficient to direct supervisors and assigned employees, set priorities, coach performance, manage resources, and support staffing recommendations Strategic planning and stakeholder communication capability sufficient to align division priorities with mission requirements, coordinate with government and internal partners, and support continuous improvement And if you have these qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, business, management, logistics, supply chain, operations, or related field; equivalent education and related experience may be considered. 5+ years of military, munitions, depot, ammunition logistics, supply depot, transportation, inventory, or related operations experience, including experience coordinating operational work, compliance requirements, or employees in a depot or government-contract environment. Must satisfactorily complete the Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations required by AMC Regulation 350-4 within 90 days of hire. Maintaining current certification is a condition of continued employment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver's license unless physically unqualified to obtain such a license. Must be able to obtain and maintain required government security clearance, including Secret clearance when required for assignment. Must be able to perform job duties with safe workplace and situational awareness. In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the hourly pay range for this role is $94,960- $142,440. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
