We provide solutions to quality, cost and production challenges for market-leading customers in industries such as automotive, heavy duty, medical, electronics, cutlery and defense.Precision Resource offers:Benefits package including health, dental, life and vision insurance401(k) with match and profit sharingAnnual bonus based on division profitabilityVacation and flexible paid holidaysWellness and Employee Assistance ProgramsTuition reimbursement and paid trainingWork with an established team of long-term employeesOur Connecticut division, located in Shelton, seeks a Quality Manager.SummaryThe Quality Manager has overall responsibility for managing the Quality department in order to establish advanced quality and reliability engineering to enhance product quality, reliability and acceptance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set, direct & support priorities of the Quality team (development of accountabilities for each team member)Review/re-set objectives in conjunction with on-time performance evaluationsDevelop, implement and improve departmental metricsDrive continual improvement process within the Quality departmentDevelop a continuous learning process for all staff (proper measurement techniques, identifications fit/function – critical characteristics, standardization of acceptance criteria)Ensure customer and supplier PPAP or ISIR submissions, NCR’s (Nonconformance Reporting), Inspection, SPC, Gauge Program, Cost of Quality, internal audits, etc. are accurate and completed in a timely mannerLead/support problem resolution and responsiveness of all customer quality related issuesCustomer liaisonAttend customer meetings and conferencesReview all 8D reports and corrective actions implementedActively participate in APQP and quote review meetingsEnsure Division maintains IATF 16949 certificationImprove and maintain accurate Quality procedures and manualsQualifications, Education, Experience BS in Engineering or highly technical training equal to a 4-year program or 5 years minimum of manufacturing experience in the metal working industry5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environmentExperience with formal documentation systems and methods particularly ISO9001 and IATF 16949Experience in the automotive industry preferred.To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. or protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).Precision Resource is an equal opportunity employer, M/F/D/V.  To learn more, visit www.precisionresource.com/careers/
