Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE We're a fast-moving, pre-seed energy technology company on a mission to make dynamic electricity plans accessible to European households through an API-first, AI-powered platform. As a licensed electricity retailer operating on the European energy exchange market, we sit at the intersection of energy, regulation, and technology — and we're growing fast. We're looking for a versatile Member of Commercial Staff to join our small, high-performing team in Berlin Mitte. This is an in-person, cross-functional role for someone who thrives on ownership, adapts quickly, and wants to help build the commercial infrastructure of a company from the ground up. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Tackle diverse commercial challenges spanning finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, and partner management as the business scales. - Own problems end-to-end — from scoping through execution — and deliver work you're genuinely proud of. - Shift focus and reprioritise as the business evolves, always gravitating toward what matters most. - Help design and implement operating practices and processes alongside your core responsibilities. - Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, legal, and operations stakeholders. - Contribute to a culture of strong communication, ownership, and craftsmanship in a regulated industry context. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required - 2+ years of proven performance in a high-performance environment — high-growth startup, consulting, investment banking, professional services, or similar. - Background in one or more of: banking, legal, operations, partnerships, or commercial support within the energy or regulated utilities sector. - Rapid learner: able to go from novice to effective in days by engaging experts, reasoning from first principles, and executing with conviction. - German fluency at C1+ level (business-level written and spoken); ability to communicate with German-speaking finance and legal stakeholders is essential. - Strong interpersonal skills — warm and engaging, but able to drive results when it counts. - Proactive owner: notices broken processes and fixes them without waiting for permission. - Legal right to work in Germany — no visa sponsorship is available for this role. Nice to Have - Familiarity with API-based energy solutions and the ability to articulate value propositions to OEMs or installers. - Experience in partnerships or alliances management within a regulated industry. - Exposure to customer success or support design in an early-stage environment. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 per year (USD equivalent) - Opportunity to shape the commercial function of an early-stage company from the inside - Direct collaboration with founding team members - High degree of autonomy and responsibility from day one LOCATION - Berlin Mitte, Germany — fully on-site - This is an in-person role; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available - Candidates must have the legal right to work in Germany; visa sponsorship is not provided
