NOW HIRING: MILLWRIGHT – GAS/STEAM TURBINES Superior Skilled Trades (SST) Location: Starbase, TX Position: Millwright – Gas/Steam Turbines Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Millwrights for a large-scale industrial power generation project in Starbase, TX. Qualified candidates must have hands-on experience installing, aligning, and maintaining large rotating equipment, including gas turbines, generators, compressors, and industrial machinery. Job Responsibilities Install, position, level, and align gas turbines, generators, and rotating equipment. Perform precision laser and dial-indicator alignment, including coupling adjustments and soft-foot corrections. Set, grout, and anchor machinery using hydraulic jacks and specialized equipment. Perform mechanical assembly, rigging, and heavy equipment installation. Assist with turbine commissioning, startup preparation, and equipment preservation. Install SCR stacks and associated mechanical equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, OEM manuals, and equipment installation drawings. Follow OSHA safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements. Requirements 5+ years of millwright, rotating equipment, or industrial machinery installation experience. Experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, compressors, or similar large rotating machinery preferred. Strong experience with precision alignment, rigging, grouting, and equipment installation. Familiarity with API RP 686 preferred. NCCER Millwright certification or journeyman credentials preferred. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and outdoors as needed. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work at heights, and wear required PPE. Valid driver's license required.
