Natural Gas Compressor Mechanic-Delaware Basin West Texas and SE New Mexico-Kermit, Monahans, Pecos, Jal, Eunice, Carlsbad AreasJob descriptionThis position requires the mechanic to operate, troubleshoot, and repair oilfield compression units that compress natural gas or recover vapors associated with the movement and/or storage of oil and natural gas. These units are at remote locations and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.Daily repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emissions testing, and start-up of natural gas compressors at company locations during scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenanceEngine, mechanical, and technical experience with various natural gas compressor brandsResponsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperworkFollow all Health, Safety and Environmental proceduresTroubleshoot and diagnose any system failuresCommunicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure that assigned tasks are completedOptimize CompressorsAttend training and safety meetings as necessaryComply with all company policies and proceduresMonitor assigned Compressors for run status and respond appropriatelyExperience with compressor and engine maintenance.Understanding of oil and gas production equipmentJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $35.00 - $39.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift10 on/4 off Schedule Work Location: In person
