Job description
We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer (C#/.NET Core) to join one of our largest teams, DocuWare. YOUR DAILY CHALLENGES Design, implement and test .NET services and libraries in C#; Build and maintain Core Web APIs; Contribute to a microservice architecture; Write efficient data-access code and optimise database queries; Structure solutions with dependency injection, configuration and logging, so they stay testable and maintainable; Write automated unit and integration tests; Package and run services in containers in a cloud environment; Monitor and operate the services you build, and investigate issues in production; Use AI-assisted tools as part of everyday development and help the team find good ways to apply them; Learn DocuWare's existing technologies and programming standards in depth; Review your teammates' code, and have yours reviewed through pull requests; Take part in knowledge-sharing sessions. OUR EXPECTATIONS At least 5 years of experience; Solid experience with C# and .NET; Experience with Core Web API; Good knowledge of databases; Experience with microservices architecture; Good knowledge of asynchronous programming (async/await), streams and resource management, and LINQ; Knowledge of HTTP and REST services; Experience writing unit tests and designing code so it can be tested; Object-oriented design skills and knowledge of patterns such as dependency injection/inversion of control; Experience with Git and a pull-request-based workflow; Understanding of Agile methodology; Professional working proficiency in English; A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; CONSIDERED A PLUS Containerised development; Experience monitoring and operating services in production: structured logging, metrics, health checks, alerting and troubleshooting live issues; Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus or Grafana; Experience with one or more cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), and building services that stay independent of any one provider; Front-end experience with TypeScript and Angular; Experience designing public REST APIs; Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) in daily work, with a critical eye for reviewing and verifying the code they produce.
