Outpost is building the backbone of freight. We’re reinventing how supply chain infrastructure works in America with carrier agnostic truck terminals. As a vertically integrated real estate, operations, and technology company, we acquire and operate mission-critical real estate across the country to serve the largest logistics providers in the world. Backed by $1B from Greenpoint Partners, we’re scaling and building the most valuable logistics network in the country.
We thrive on accountability, integrity, and a shared drive to raise the bar. If you’re excited to reshape the industry alongside a high-performance team with a championship mindset that executes relentlessly, welcome aboard.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a Paralegal to be the first dedicated hire on Outpost's legal team. You will run the logistics of every deal we close (acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and leases) across our nationwide truck-terminal and industrial outdoor storage (IOS) portfolio, from signed purchase agreement through funding and post-closing. You will work hand in hand with our General Counsel on every transaction, keeping deadlines, deliverables, and signatures on track and drafting routine agreements. This is an in-office role based in Austin, reporting directly to the General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the closing checklist for property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings: track every condition precedent, deliverable, and deadline from contract execution through funding;
- Serve as the day-to-day coordinator with title companies, escrow agents, surveyors, environmental consultants, lenders, brokers, and outside counsel to keep closing deliverables on schedule;
- Order, track, and organize third-party diligence for attorney review, including title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, Phase I environmental reports, estoppels, and SNDAs;
- Calculate and calendar critical dates: diligence period expirations, earnest money deposits, closing dates, and lease renewal and notice deadlines. Flag what's coming before it's urgent;
- Prepare and route execution documents through DocuSign; assemble signature packets and coordinate notarizations, wet-ink originals, and recording;
- Build and maintain virtual data rooms, closing binders, and post-closing deliverables;
- Maintain entity records for Outpost's holding company and property-level entities, including the compliance calendar for annual reports, registered agents, and foreign qualifications;
- Support the leasing process for tenant leases and license agreements: prepare lease documents, track execution, and maintain key dates, renewals, and notice obligations;
- Draft simple legal agreements from templates for attorney review, including NDAs, lease and license amendments, estoppels, assignments, and closing documents;
- Manage contract intake and the contract repository for vendor agreements, NDAs, and other commercial documents; and
- Support the General Counsel on legal operations projects and process improvements as the function grows.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a paralegal or transaction coordinator in commercial real estate at a law firm, title company, REIT, developer, or real estate investment firm.
- Hands-on experience helping close commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings, including purchase agreements, title commitments, surveys, estoppels, loan documents, and closing statements.
- Commercial leasing experience: preparing, tracking, and administering tenant leases, amendments, and renewals.
- Ability to draft simple legal agreements (NDAs, amendments, assignments, estoppels) from templates with minimal revision.
- Paralegal certificate, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
- Highly organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to run multiple deals at once without dropping details.
- Clear, direct written communication; comfortable following up persistently with third parties.
- Proficient with DocuSign, Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office, and virtual data room platforms.
- Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active notary public commission, or willingness to obtain a Texas notary commission within the first 90 days. Remote online notary (RON) authorization is a plus.
- Experience closing industrial, IOS, or multi-state portfolio transactions.
- Entity management or corporate secretarial experience; exposure to REIT structures.
- Lease abstraction experience across a multi-site portfolio.
- Experience in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment or as part of a lean in-house legal team.

- Title Commensurate with Experience
- Comprehensive Benefits Package including Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
