As a Part-Time Physical Education Assistant Teacher at Aaron School, you will play a key role in supporting students' physical development, social growth, and overall well-being within a structured and inclusive learning environment. Working under the guidance of the Head PE Teacher, you will help implement engaging activities that promote teamwork, confidence, and lifelong healthy habits for students with learning differences. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university • Physical Education experience preferred • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs • Ability to maintain a structured, positive, and engaging learning environment What You'll Do • Support the Head PE Teacher in planning, delivering, and implementing physical education instruction for individual students, small groups, and whole classes. • Foster student growth by promoting self-reliance, social skills, language development, and achievement of individualized PE goals. • Serve as lead teacher in the absence of the Head PE Teacher and collaborate with teaching teams and staff to support student success. • Assist with classroom organization, material preparation, assessments, record keeping, and maintaining a positive PE learning environment. • Participate in school-wide initiatives and responsibilities, including behavioral and social skills programs, staff meetings, Curriculum Night, lunch coverage, and bus duty.
