Travel to other locations may occur, although minimal.POSITION SUMMARYThe Patient Care Coordinator Lead serves as an operational performance leader and therapy team subject matter expert, driving high reliability execution across complex specialty pharmacy workflows. This role is accountable for supporting day to day operational stability, monitoring performance trends, and implementing targeted interventions that strengthen continuity of care and elevate patient outcomes.  Functioning as a frontline leader with influence (but not direct people management), the Coordinator Lead III provides guidance, coaching, and workflow direction to therapy team members. The role partners closely with pharmacists, operational leaders, and cross functional stakeholders to resolve barriers, accelerate case movement, and ensure consistent adherence to clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards.  The Coordinator Lead III also contributes to operational recovery efforts, leads specialty workflow initiatives, and supports optimization projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing variability, and improving the patient experience. Through strong communication, analytical insight, and proactive problem solving, this position sets the standard for performance, collaboration, and patient centered service across the therapy team .ESSENTIAL DUTIESPatient-Centered Care & Safety  Serve as a senior escalation resource for complex or high‑risk patient scenarios; ensure safe, timely continuity of therapy.  Anticipate adherence risks and collaborate with pharmacists on mitigation plans.  Model exemplary patient communication and safety compliance.  Medication Management & Specialty Operations  Oversee and prioritize high‑complexity workflows (e.g., urgent starts, time‑sensitive biologics) to meet service‑level expectations.  Identify systemic issues impacting turnaround times or accuracy; recommend operational fixes.  Ensure audit‑ready documentation and data integrity across systemsOperational Recovery & Performance  Lead or coordinate targeted recovery initiatives (backlog resolution, throughput optimization, rapid stabilization).  Maintain real‑time visibility of backlogs and queues; communicate risks and recovery progress to leadership.  Use data (including Excel dashboards) to drive prioritization and validate recovery outcomesQuality & Compliance  Identify root causes of recurring quality/compliance issues; support corrective and preventive actions.  Reinforce adherence to SOPs and accreditation standards; participate in readiness activities.  Interdisciplinary Collaboration  Act as liaison between frontline teams and leadership on operational trends and recovery status.  Manage complex provider/manufacturer interactions to remove access barriers and sustain therapy.  Leadership, Competency & Team Support  Provide peer coaching, role modeling, and day‑to‑day leadership support in the absence of a supervisor/manager.  Drive cross‑training and multi‑therapy competency to ensure operational flexibility during surges.Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and patient‑first serviceOther duties and responsibilities as required.    Disclaimer: The information written in this job description indicates the general nature and level of work to be performed. While employed in this position, an employee may be required to perform other assignments not listed in this job description.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING3+ year experience in pharmacy setting  Pharmacy Technician State License  National Technician Certification – required  Specialty Pharmacy experience – preferred  Customer Service with patients in a pharmacy setting  Experience with data entry and computer system prescription and medical records   Meets or exceeds all performance metrics and goals of department  Able to multi-task and complete work accurately with attention to detail.
