Patient Sitter

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the patient’s bedside sitter maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Communicates observations of the patient’s activity and behavior on a regular basis to the assigned nurse. The sitter can also function as a virtual safety sitter, who will provide continuous remote observation of assigned patients. The virtual tele sitter will verbally redirect the patient from engaging in any at risk behaviors and will notify the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
