The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Engineer,Telecom with a proven track record in overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems on offshore platforms to ensure safe and efficient operation for a high-profile client. Ensure telecom systems comply with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards Prepare and review engineering deliverables, drawings, datasheets, and technical specifications Support project execution from FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. Ensure telecom engineering deliverables are completed within project schedules and budgets. Coordinate interdisciplinary engineering interfaces and resolve technical issues. Develop, review, and approve telecom engineering designs, calculations, specifications, datasheets, and drawings for project execution. Design and implement telecommunications systems including Fiber Optic Networks, LAN/WAN, Microwave Links, Radio Systems, PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Telephone, and Integrated Communication Systems. Prepare telecom engineering deliverables during FEED, EPC, and detailed engineering phases. Review vendor proposals, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and supplier documentation. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with electrical, instrumentation, control, and process facilities. Ensure compliance with company standards, international codes, project specifications, and cybersecurity requirements. Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, technical workshops, and risk assessments. Resolve technical queries, design issues, and telecom interface challenges during project execution. Monitor engineering progress and support achievement of project milestones, budgets, and quality objectives. Review and approve telecom equipment layouts, network architectures, cable routing, and communication system configurations. Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Witness and evaluate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system performance testing. What makes you remarkable? Expected: Bachelor’s degree in telecommunication, electrical or electronics engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. Managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers. Offshore experience is must, whilst ADNOC experience is desired PMC experience is required Fully coherent in all international codes and standards Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn / Flexible with a can-do attitude Working hands on Experience on SPEL Must have working knowledge and experience of electrical discipline relevant offshore/onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
