Primary Care Physician

Akicita Federal is hiring Primary Care Physicians to deliver comprehensive outpatient medical care to our nation's Veterans through the VA Providence Health Care System's Hyannis Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Hyannis, MA. This is an opportunity to make a direct, meaningful impact on Veteran health outcomes in a community clinical setting, with two full-time positions available beginning September 2026. - Provide primary and preventive care services to a panel of Veteran patients at the Hyannis CBOC, managing acute and chronic conditions across the full spectrum of adult medicine - Diagnose, treat, and develop individualized care plans in accordance with VA clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine standards - Coordinate referrals and care transitions to specialty services, behavioral health, and community providers as clinically appropriate - Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly within the VA's electronic health record system in a timely manner - Participate in patient care huddles, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives alongside nursing, social work, and administrative staff - Communicate proactively with patients regarding test results, medication management, and follow-up care plans - Adhere to all VA patient privacy, information security, and data handling policies when accessing or managing Veteran health information - M-F; 8a-4:30p; No weekends, no holidays. - Patient volume: 10-15 per day
