Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Analyst to join the Infrastructure and Platform Engineering organization. This role designs, builds, automates, secures, and supports enterprise platform capabilities across Nutanix, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, secure landing zones, Terraform, DevOps practices, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on engineering experience across virtualization, cloud-native platforms, infrastructure automation, and secure platform foundations, with the ability to partner across infrastructure, security, identity, networking, and application teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and governed platforms that accelerate business outcomes. Job Specifications: Starting Wage: $112,000 - $158,000 + Annual Bonus Employment Type: Year Round Shift Type: Full Time hours Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age Housing Availability: No Job Responsibilities: Platform Engineering, Virtualization, and Containerization Design, implement, support, and optimize Nutanix platform capabilities, including virtualization, compute, storage, networking, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and operational resiliency. Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift platforms across development, test, and production environments. Engineer reusable platform patterns, deployment templates, and self-service capabilities that improve developer experience and accelerate application onboarding. Ensure platform scalability, availability, resiliency, and operational readiness across containerized workloads. Manage cluster lifecycle activities, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, configuration, backup, recovery, and capacity planning. Develop platform engineering standards that connect virtualization, cloud-native platforms, infrastructure automation, secure landing zones, and operational support into a cohesive enterprise platform model. Infrastructure as Code and Automation Develop, maintain, and govern Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related automation frameworks. Automate cloud and hybrid infrastructure provisioning, configuration, policy enforcement, and operational workflows. Build and maintain automated secure landing zone patterns that include standardized networking, identity integration, logging, monitoring, policy guardrails, secrets management, and compliance-ready controls. Drive GitOps and declarative infrastructure practices to improve consistency, repeatability, and auditability. Reduce manual operational effort by creating automated runbooks, scripts, and platform workflows. DevOps, CI/CD, and Release Enablement Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting containerized applications and platform services. Partner with application teams to improve deployment consistency, release quality, change controls, and automated testing. Support adoption of DevOps practices, including source control, automated builds, artifact management, and deployment governance. Cloud, Hybrid Infrastructure, and Reliability Support Nutanix, Kubernetes, and OpenShift platforms across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Troubleshoot complex platform issues across compute, storage, network, DNS, ingress, certificates, identity, and application runtime layers. Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, service restoration, and continuous improvement activities. Build platform observability, alerting, and operational dashboards to improve service health and reliability. Security, Compliance, and Governance Implement platform security controls, including RBAC, network policies, secrets management, image scanning, vulnerability remediation, and secure configuration standards. Deploy and govern secure landing zones that establish repeatable, policy-aligned foundations for new workloads, environments, and platform services. Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure container platforms meet enterprise governance and audit requirements. Establish and maintain platform documentation, standards, reference architectures, and operational procedures. Technical Leadership Serve as a subject matter expert for Nutanix, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, secure landing zones, automation, and platform engineering practices. Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and help establish engineering standards across the platform ecosystem. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that increase automation, reliability, cost efficiency, and developer productivity. Job Requirements: 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering. Strong hands-on expertise with Nutanix platform engineering, administration, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and support of enterprise virtualization environments. 5+ years of hands-on experience administering, operating, or engineering Kubernetes platforms in production environments. 3+ years of hands-on Red Hat OpenShift engineering or administration experience. Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code design, implementation, and governance. Experience deploying secure landing zones with standardized identity, network segmentation, logging, monitoring, policy enforcement, and security controls. Experience managing production containerized workloads at enterprise scale. Strong Linux administration, scripting, and automation skills using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD, or equivalent platforms. Working knowledge of GitOps practices and source-controlled infrastructure workflows. Strong understanding of networking, DNS, ingress, load balancers, certificates, storage, identity, and security concepts. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and partner effectively across technical teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AKS, EKS, GKE, Azure, AWS, or other public cloud services. Experience with Nutanix Cloud Platform, Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, Flow networking, or related Nutanix automation and lifecycle management capabilities. Experience with Argo CD, Flux, Helm, Kustomize, Operators, or similar Kubernetes ecosystem tools. Experience with HashiCorp Vault or enterprise secrets management solutions. Experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Elastic, or OpenTelemetry. Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, OpenShift Service Mesh, or Linkerd. Experience supporting regulated environments such as PCI, SOX, or other enterprise compliance frameworks. Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Red Hat OpenShift certification, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Azure, or AWS certifications.
