Job description

Supplier Quality Management Own the quality interface with assigned wafer foundries and act as the primary contact for supplier quality topics across development, qualification, ramp-up, and series production. Define, monitor, and review supplier quality KPIs, scorecards, process capability, yield performance, reliability performance, audit findings, and improvement actions. Conduct regular supplier quality and business reviews to align expectations, identify risks, and drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions. Assess and manage supplier risks relating to process stability, capacity, quality systems, sub-tier control, and manufacturing changes. Compliance & Audits Plan and conduct supplier system, process, and technology audits at wafer foundries, including follow-up and closure of findings. Evaluate compliance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, automotive core tools, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality requirements, as applicable. Support supplier selection, qualification, approval, and periodic re-evaluation based on capability, performance, risk, and compliance. Issue Resolution and Escalation Lead supplier problem-solving for wafer-fabrication quality issues, including process excursions, yield losses, reliability failures, specification violations, and systemic quality concerns. Ensure effective containment, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, effectiveness verification, and lessons learned using structured methods such as 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, DOE, and statistical analysis. Drive timely escalation and transparent risk communication when quality, delivery, qualification, or customer commitments may be affected. New Foundry/Process Introduction/Qualification Lead the quality assessment of new foundry technologies, process transfers, new manufacturing locations, major process changes, and supplier change notifications. Review and approve quality-relevant deliverables such as process flows, control plans, PFMEAs, qualification plans and reports, process capability evidence, reliability data, and production readiness documentation. Ensure changes are risk-assessed, validated, approved, documented, and implemented under controlled conditions before release to production. Coordinate closely with R&D, Technical Operations Management, Project Management, stakeholders to ensure clear ownership and timely decisions. Continuous Improvement Drive supplier improvement toward zero defects through SPC, process capability improvement, defect prevention, robust control plans, advanced process monitoring, and reduction of variation. Maintain current audit records, supplier approvals, qualification evidence, change-control records, quality dashboards, risk registers, and action trackers. Provide concise management updates on supplier performance, quality-system status, major risks, audit results, qualification progress, and improvement effectiveness. Benchmark and share best practices across suppliers and internal teams to strengthen organizational and supplier quality maturity. Quality Management System Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the quality management system for AESS in alignment with applicable automotive, customer, corporate, and regulatory requirements. Define and maintain quality processes, procedures, templates, records, governance mechanisms, and management reporting relevant to supplier and product quality activities. Coordinate internal quality-system reviews, gap assessments, corrective actions, management review inputs, and readiness for internal, customer, certification, or corporate audits. Promote process ownership, document control, risk-based thinking, lessons learned, and consistent application of quality requirements across functions. Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Microelectronics, Materials, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline. Certification (Six sigma black belt, IATF/VDA auditor) preferred. Experience Minimum 7 years of experience in semiconductor supplier quality, foundry quality, wafer-fabrication process engineering, technology development, product quality, or quality management, preferably including at least 3 years in an automotive semiconductor environment. Practical experience working with wafer foundries and strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, process integration, process control, yield management, reliability qualification, and change management. Demonstrated experience with quality management systems, supplier audits, corrective-action management, and cross-functional quality governance. Skills and Competencies: Solid knowledge of front-end wafer-fabrication processes such as lithography, etch, deposition, implantation, diffusion, CMP, metallization, process control, inline monitoring, and electrical wafer test. Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, control plans, AEC-Q100, and structured problem-solving methods. Ability to interpret process data, reliability results, statistical trends, audit evidence, specifications, and qualification documentation to form risk-based quality decisions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with suppliers and customers. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment. Willingness to travel to supplier sites globally. Ready to take your career to the next level? The future of mobility isn’t just anyone’s job. Make it yours! Join AUMOVIO.
