The Opportunity: In the capacity of a Principal Environmental Consultant, you will contribute environmental insights, guidance, and expertise to studies and engineering ventures encompassing water, rail, aerospace and road projects. Collaborating with internal and external professionals, you will formulate environmental solutions and provide technical leadership on a broad spectrum of issues, The position primarily supports projects in NSW but may extend assistance to other KBR locations. It involves maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, budgets, and plans, managing stakeholders, and engaging with regulatory authorities. Who Are You? As a team player, you are proactive and self-motivated, showcasing a high level of analytical and problem-solving ability, complemented by excellent communication skills. Your qualifications and experience will include: Environmental Engineer, Scientist or Planner with a thorough understanding of the NSW and Commonwealth Planning legislation and management of specialist subconsultants. Preparation of reviews of environmental factors (REFs) Preparation of state significant infrastructure (SSI) and / or state significant development (SSD) environmental impact statements (EIS) Social impact assessment with qualifications under the NSW legislation Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (under NSW legislation) Environmental compliance and management of construction compliance with conditions of approval issued under the NSW legislation. Liaison in a multidisciplinary design team to communicate NSW environmental requirements to the design team. Good experience and knowledge of NSW Government agency requirements and liaison with various government agencies and stakeholders.
