Process Engineer

Vestas Technology & Operations > Blade > Manufacturing As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle. You will manage process improvement initiatives, support new product introductions (NPI), and provide technical support to resolve production challenges and enhance operational performance. You will play a critical role in improving quality, productivity, and process stability by applying structured engineering methodologies, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing sustainable technical solutions. Responsibilities Conduct PFMEA activities following project gate milestones. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and manufacturing readiness. Review and optimize production layouts together with cross-functional engineering teams. Define technical requirements for manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production lines. Participate in Supplier Acceptance Tests (SAT) and equipment sign-off activities. Evaluate manufacturing capacity and ensure alignment with production demand. Manufacturing Support Provide day-to-day technical support for production operations. Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges and implement corrective actions. Support equipment improvements, uptime initiatives, and process optimization activities. Manage Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes within the assigned area. Serve as a local technical contact between Central Engineering and Manufacturing teams. Continuous Improvement Coordinate Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Lean Engineering teams. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities. Ensure process standardization and adherence to quality and manufacturing standards. Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with approved BOM changes, process documentation, and manufacturing standards. Support PPAP activities and verification of new manufacturing processes. Assist in handling internal and external quality non-conformities. Maintain technical documentation including PFMEAs, test plans, work instructions, and process records. Support first-time-right quality initiatives through validation and process controls. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, process control, and industrial engineering principles. Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes. Experience supporting industrialization projects, production equipment, or process optimization initiatives. Familiarity with automated production equipment and tooling development. Good communication skills in both Danish and English Competencies Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities. Structured and data-driven approach to decision-making. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across functions and regions.
