Process Engineering Supervisor

Role Purpose • Lead and support continuous process improvement activities, problem-solving sessions, new product or process receivership, cost reduction projects, and equipment installs and debug. • Lead discussion on mechanistic understanding of complex engineering challenges and provide guidance on the application of Engineering First Principles. • Improve existing manufacturing processes, equipment, and capabilities working with members from cross-functional teams. • Responsible for a Process Engineering team, supports employees and ensures performance and development capability roadmap of the team. Key Responsibilities • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, capacity, and delivery objectives. • Champion safety performance; Directly responsible for driving employee engagement and compliance. • Manage daily production and quality issues; Quickly resolve performance issues by ensuring clear ownership of responsibilities. • Define, manage, and support continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes. • Work with Engineering to identify and resolve chronic equipment and process issues. • Ensure effective transfer of next generation product and process technologies to manufacturing, including safety, ergonomics, 5's, procedures, training and production capacity. Experiences/Education - Required • Ability to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Ability to work effectively on all levels of an organization. • Use scientific method and engineering principles to solve problems thoroughly and effectively, using well-designed and executed processes. • Determine and recommend best solution from a series of alternatives within plant and safety guidelines. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Ability to lead a team of engineers to achieve business goals.
